Island Summer Music Intensive

Situated in picturesque Ladysmith, British Columbia, Island Summer Music Intensive (ISMI) is the only program of its kind on the West Coast. Using a process-based learning approach, ISMI is designed to nurture and cultivate aspiring singers’ development in classical voice. In order to maximize personalized attention and build a strong group dynamic, only a small class of 6-8 students will be accepted for each week.

In a supportive and encouraging environment, singers are immersed in a week of individual lessons and coachings, which are complemented by group seminars and classes. Importantly, time is set aside for private practice and self-guided study. Participants will share questions and insights in round table discussions with faculty, learn tools for success in post-secondary music study, and focus on personal growth during a week devoted entirely to the art of singing.
